As most of you may have seen on my facebook page I am now a stockist for Carr & Day & Martin tack/leather cleaner. At the moment i am just stocking there leather care range, however i am open to expanding into there other ranges if i have enough interest.
Carr & Day & Martin is the worlds oldest company involved in manufacture of horse care products. Founded in 1765 they have held a Royal Warrant since the reign of King George IV and still hold the Royal Warrant today for the supply of quality saddlery care products to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. For more information about Carr & Day & Martin have a look at there website – http://www.carrdaymartin.co.uk for more information about their products and ranges, history and how to use there products for the best results.
The products I currently sell from the leather care range are the Belvoir Step 1 Tack Cleaner,Brecknell Turner Conditioning Soap and Ko-Cho-Line Leather Dressing. I regularly extend my leather range and have differnent offers on through out the year.
Belvoir Step 1 Tack Cleaner – Gently lifts ingrained dirt, sweat and grease enabling it to be wiped off easily without drying out your leather. This leaves a perfect clean surafce for the application of a conditioner. This will not rot the stitching or over dry the leather. The Belvoir Tack Cleaner can be also used to remove existing mould frm affected leather/saddlery, leaving the perfect surface for an application of conditioning soap or oil.
Brecknell Turner (Conditioning Soap) – This is an alternative (and personally my favourite) to the Belvoir step 2 Conditioner. This is an established soft wax formulation to thouroulghy condition the leather. Although the Breknell Turner and Belvoir Step 2 do the same job (condition the leather), the Brecknell Turner leaves a nice matt finish on the leather instead of a shine.
Ko-Cho-Line (Leather Dressing) – A unique thick, pink grease which protects the leather from mould and mildrew when in storage. Also renovated and reviews tired saddlery. This will not rot stitching and can be used on metal to prevent rusting. This specially formulated conditioner can also be used to renovate and revive tired saddlery.
Carr & Day & Martin have recently changed there design of all there bottles. Before they were completley plastic but now they have been improved to being aluminium. By upgrading there bottles they are saving approximatley 10 tonnes of plastic waste per year. The aluminium bottles are 100% recyclable and are also running a recycling scheme where you return 10 aluminium bottles to Carr & Day & Martin and they will send out a free 1 litre Canter Mane and Tail free.
To show you just how good the Carr & Day & Martin tack cleaners are this is a before and after of a saddle I had in for a saftey check and deep clean. I first used the Belvoir Step 1 followed by the Brecknell Turner. As you can see it has literally made this saddle look brand new.
