Me and my boys 1

I am 18 years old and have a level 3 qualification in horse care that I gained studying at Reaseheath College in 2015-2016. I decided not to go back for my second year at college as i wanted to start my new career in saddle fitting and leather work. I have had an interest in horses since i was 4, not so much riding but I loved spending hours grooming and bonding with my little Welsh Section A pony Little Joe here began my first journey with horses. Unfortunately I lost my gorgeous little pony when he was the age of 22.

By the age of 5 I was going to local shows with Little Joe and doing in hand shows

As I grew older I got more interested in riding and decided I wanted to ride more, this was the start of my second journey with horses. I bought a young gypsy cob gelding called Patch. he was 2 years old when I got him (9 now). When i first got him he was to young to ride so I did some shows with him before starting his ridden and driven career. A few years later at the age of 7 he was finally being ridden and driven safely and sanely! A lot of blood sweat and tears had gone in to making him perfect and i couldn’t be more proud of how far we have both come. We are now doing endurance rides, fun rides, shows and jumping. You say it we will try it!

On the 5th March 2015 my third journey began with a little 11 month old (3 now) gypsy cob called Riverside Noah that we bought from market. He was a nervous wreck and skinny. Within 5 months he was looking in show condition and friendly as anything. I have took to a few shows where he has always been placed and has been enjoying his younger years in the field ready for starting his ridden career this year.

Recently I attended a TREC Calm and Confident camp at Somerford Park with Patch. On the camp we focused on being calm when in an unknown environment and doing TREC obsticals including low branches, walking over tarpaulin and many others. We also worked on straightness over poles and did a drill ride in a group of 8. Overall the weekend was amazing and many things were learnt and many friends were made.
